What themes do you offer?
Brand new:Army Parties: Everyone is given an army print T-shirt to wear for the party and the party child gets a beret as well. We have asault courses including camouflage netting for crawling under, a huge inflatable slide over 5 metres (18' tall), obstacle course and bouncy castle which are incorporated into an assult course. The games are army themed with sandbags, war games and more.
Brand new: Cheerleading parties: Have great fun learning to cheerlead with your friends and a qualified instructor.
Brand new: Street dance parties:A brilliant party for those interested in learning new street moves. Learn a routine and impress your friends with your new dance skills.
Inflatables and Team Games: We have a huge bouncy castle, an inflatable obstacle course, a huge slide that is over 5 metres (18') tall and large amounts of equipment for all kinds of team games. We can also put out sport specific equipment.
Sport Specific:We have equipment here for many sports including football, rugby, netball, basketball, badminton, tennis, mini-tennis, cricket, table-tennis, trampolining and more.
Can you provide party leaders?
Yes. Party leaders who run all the games are available.
How long are you parties?
Parties are typically 1.5, 2 hours or longer. A 1.5 hour party would be for one hour of activity plus half an hour use of your own private room where you can bring birthday food, presents etc. A 2 hour or longer party format is activity, food, activity.
Can we bring our own food?
Yes.
Is there a place we can put food?
We also provide free use of a kitchenette with a fridge freezer; microwave; kettle and sink.
What is the ball-park cost?
Ball-park price around £100.00 for a 1.5 hour party for a non-joint part of around 20 or fewer for a sports or party. 2 hour parties and longer parties available. Party leaders, inflatables etc are also available.
Please add £10.00 to an inflatables party if you would like to have the slide as well.
Army parties are currently just £175.00 and are for two hours. You can have more than 25 children at one of these and they are run by two party leaders.
How many children can attend?
There is no defined limit on how many people can attend, the more you have, the more staff you may require. However, we will need a few adults to asist with things like toilet and squash breaks. Children aged 5 or younger will need to have parents stay.
Do parents have to stay?
We need to have enough responsible adults in attendance so as to ensure a ratio of 10 children to 1 child or better.
DEPOSITS AND CANCELLATIONS
The whole sum is due within 5 days of booking the party. If the party is cancelled with 30 days or more notice of the party date, 75% of the money is refunded. If the party is cancelled with less than 14 days until the party, 25% of the party cost is refunded. If there is less than 14 days to go, no monies are refunded.

If you wish to drop off payment, if it is during school hours, please pay it in at the main school Reception (Goddard) in an envelope marked FTAO Sports Cenrtre Manager with a brief summary of the party name, date and time.
If you wish to pay the deposit in out of school hours, please pay it in after 6:00 pm to the Sports Hall in an envelope marked FTAO Sports Centre Manager enclsoing the hirer's name, date and times.
What is we want to change the date?
We will do our best to accommodate you but there is a charge of £20.00 for every time that the booker moves the date with 21 days or more to go. If there is fewer than 21 days to go, the charge is £30.00. We try our best to accommodate everyone but there may be times when we cannot and if it cannot be rearranged, the deposit is lost. The reason for the charge is that we have so many bookings that we work really hard to fit everyone in. Slots typically go months in advance. When we turn away groups becuase their desired slot is already taken and then a booker who had the slot changes their mind, we cannot always fill those slots and we have lost custom which we we cannot afford to do.
Can I pencil in a date?
Yes, it will last for 48 hours and after that, it goes on a first come, first served basis.
How early can I arrive?
Please do not arrive more than 15 minutes early to set up the tables for food. Usually 10 mins is enough. Coming earlier can create problems as excited children run around and can cause accidents and other groups are often still in the Centre. The Hall is not available early.
Can I put up decorations?
Yes. Please use blue-tac
Are there cups for tea/coffee?
Yes.
Is face paint allowed?
No. Unfortunately we find it creates too many problems with it running when children get hot and getting on nice party outfits and on our inflatables. It is also very disruptive to games when it being done on site because the children come from having their face painted and have no idea how to play the game that was just explained to everyone else.
Are joint parties allowed?
Yes.
Is there parking?
Yes. Please park in Carlton Road in the School (Aim Higher Carpark). There are signs to the Sports Hall from there.
Who are cheques made out to: St George's School (Lettings) Ltd
How can payment be made: Cheque or cash. These can be brought to the Sports Hall from 6:00 pm onwards on a weeknight or during the day at weekends. During the day on weekdays, they can be given to the School Reception. Otherwise cheques can be posted to Sports Centre Manager, St George's School, Sun Lane, Harpenden, Herts, AL5 4TD
How much is the deposit: Typically half the cost of the party. This is due within 5 days of the booking.
